HOW DO I USE THE TOOTH WHITENING KIT?
It's really quite easy! First you mould the mouthguards to your teeth, add Aussie Smile Co's world first formula gel to the mouthguards and put them in your mouth. Turn your 6 LED light on and insert it into your mouth to activate the gel. Half an hour later your Aussie Smile will be whiter!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The whitening gel is placed into your custom fitted tooth tray (included in your kit), once inserted over your teeth the active ingredient in the gel starts to break down. Oxygen enters into the enamel and dentine, which in turn breaks down the stain inside the tooth. The structure of the tooth is not changed -it is only the enamel of the tooth that appears whiter. For best and safest results, we recommend you closely follow the instructions provided with your kit.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
Results will vary from person to person and will depend on your lifestyle choices. Whitening generally has better results on yellow stains versus grey coloured stains, but you will still see an improvement.

You can keep it in the cupboard or drawer for 1 year.
DO I NEED TO STORE THE GEL IN THE FRIDGE?
No, store in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight, but you don’t need to keep it in the fridge.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Most people see results after their very first application. Generally your smile will be noticeably whiter after about 3-4 treatments.
CAN I WHITEN IF I HAVE BRACES?
It is best to wait until your braces are off. We do not recommend using our products with braces on.
I’M PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING, CAN I WHITEN MY TEETH?
Seek advice from your GP. We do not recommend using whilst pregnant/breastfeeding.
I HAVE HOLES IN MY TEETH, CAN I STILL WHITEN?
If you have holes in your teeth we advise you seek advice from your dentist first before using any teeth whitening products.
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED AGE FOR THE KITS?
18+. Your teeth are not mature enough before this and can be very sensitive.
DOES TEETH WHITENING CAUSE SENSITIVITY OR ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
As this is a non-peroxide product, you shouldn't experience any sensitivity, however, if you do experience sensitivity during treatment we recommend:
- rinsing your mouth with warm water after whitening
- using a soft bristled toothbrush
- brushing your teeth with a sensitive teeth toothpaste (such as Sensodyne)
- avoiding hot, spicy or overly cold food
Sensitivity will generally last no more than 24 hours.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WHITEN?
We recommend whitening 1-2 times a week for the first month and then as needed. If you choose to whiten more often, make sure you ask your dentist for advice first.
I HAVE MOULDS FROM MY DENTIST CAN I USE THEM?
Yes! Give them a clean with toothpaste and a toothbrush first.
IS THIS PERMANENT?
No, unfortunately teeth whitening isn't permanent - stains will build up again over time.
CAN I STILL DRINK TEA/COFFEE?
Yes you can, but the stains may build up faster and you may need to whiten every four weeks or so.
I’M A SMOKER, WILL THIS HELP?
Yes, you will see a noticeable result as the whitening will remove the tobacco stains.
DOES IT WORK IF I HAVE FILLINGS?
Whitening is completely safe for your fillings and will remove some of the stains on your fillings.
WILL WHITENING DAMAGE MY ENAMEL?
The product is non-peroxide and if you follow our guidelines for the best and safest results there will be no damage to your enamel. As always, if you have any concerns contact your dentist.
HOW MANY SHADES WHITER WILL I GO?
Results vary from person to person depending on the makeup of their enamel - but you will see a significant change in the colour after about 4 applications.
WILL MY TEETH WHITEN FASTER IF I WHITEN MORE THAN YOU SAY?
Please speak to your dentist if you wish to use our products more than recommended use.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I SWALLOW SOME SOLUTION?
This can be common. Do not induce vomiting. Don't panic! If you are worried call the poisons control hotline (131126) or a doctor.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE WHITENING SOLUTION COMES INTO CONTACT WITH MY SKIN OR HAIR?
If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I GET WHITENING SOLUTION IN MY EYE?
If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by the poisons control hotline (131126) or for at least 15 minutes
Results will vary greatly from person to person - depending on the product, length of use, individual body reaction and whether you follow the instructions provided. In some cases, It may take a number of applications to see results. Unfortunately unless the product is defective or faulty, The Aussie Smile Co is not able to refund purchases.
If you change your mind we cannot offer a refund.
If your item is defective we can provide a refund if the faulty items are returned within 48 hours of receiving the faulty product. The refund will only be processed if the items are returned in their original state -including packaging material, manuals and instructions and all accessories -we cannot offer a refund if only partial items are returned. Once the LED light and mouth tray has been used, it will not be liable for a refund.
